Supporting People HIV Tenancy Support Coordinator

37.5 hours, £20,000 - £22,000

Coordinating the project's daily activities in enabling service users to meet their personal and service outcomes, within the guidance identified by Supporting People. Being responsible for all new referrals, overseeing and maintaining a high standards in advice, guidance, enabling, and auditing whilst ensuring that effective communication is achieved both internally and externally. Role inclusive of a 6% pension contribution; deadline: 5pm, Tuesday 8th July.


Supporting People Specialised HIV Tenancy Support Worker

37.5 hours, £16,000 - £18,000

Providing specialised support, enabling service users to live independently, working at our offices and on an outreach basis. Activities must meet with the Supporting People criteria and include providing tenancy support, advice, guidance, liaising with external agencies, health and social care professionals. (REF: SPW)

Role inclusive of a 6% pension contribution; deadline: 5pm, Tuesday 8th July.


BRO-SIS Senior Drugs Worker

37.5 hours, £24,000

With a community-based focus the post-holder will liaise with the Substance Misuse Service's Community Drugs Teams (CDTs) and provide integrated, evidence-based community services for substance misusers in line with the National Treatment Agency (NTA) Models of Care approach for complex-problem drug users, working at our offices and on an outreach basis.

BRO-SIS aims to raise awareness about sexual health, drugs and issues of crime amongst the African Caribbean community. It provides individual as well as community support, tackling issues of HIV, drugs and crime at grass roots level. The project is a link between the community and multiple agencies, sensitive to the individual's needs at the same time. BRO-SIS also provides mentoring, family mediation, community engagement and youth empowerment services.

This post forms part fo the Criminal Justice - Drug Intervention Programme (CJ - DIP).

BRO-SIS Lay Sexual Health Coordinator

37.5 hours, £26,500

The coordinator will supervise and develop a team of Lay Sexual Health Workers in the Heart of Birmingham teaching PCT area as part of the sexual health strategy for the African-Caribbean community. The chosen candidate will oversee the delivery of community-based sexual health initiatives in the HoBtPCT area. The main activities include raising awareness of HIV and STI transmission, the importance of safe sex practices and increasing the uptake of HIV testing. (REF: BSLC)
