The project is funded by Birmingham City Council and its aim is to enable older adults (50+) to live independently within the community by providing support and advice from a team of ‘good neighbour’ volunteers. Our good neighbour volunteers will be on hand to support clients who face issues arising from health problems, disability, isolation and personal safety and to support people to access community groups, social activities and appointments.

If you are 50+ and live in the Yardley constituency and would like to access the service please contact Jessica Phillips on 0121 415 6670 or email on jessica.phillips@freshwinds.org.uk alternatively we will be setting up a series of local drop in session in Acocks Green, Yardley North, Stechford, Sheldon, and Garrets Green, details of these will be available if you call.

If you would like to offer neighbourly support contact Jessica Phillips on 0121 415 6670 to discuss volunteer opportunities. Training, support and expenses will be provided and volunteering in this role could give you valuable experience for a successful career in health and social care.

Freshwinds B-Sage Good Neighbour Project is a well-being project for older adults in the Yardley constituency.
