Comments from our Clients
- ‘Complementary Therapies has not only helped my back pain. It also has had a calming sensation on my whole body. I was extremely beneficial during a recent anxious period of my recovery’.
- ‘Feet feel less painful, improved my mobility, sleeping better at night, feel more relaxed’.
- ‘Welcome support, ..…(Therapist)...cheers me up and leaves me with a sense of well-being, I am able to walk more easily after each visit’.
- ‘Prior to treatment I was very dependent on my wife for assistance I have found that since having treatment I am more self reliant i.e. showering – my wife had to assist me, but now I can manage on my own. My breathing capacity and function has definitely improved and there is a marked improvement to my general well-being. Thank you’
- ‘Learning to relax is one of the benefits I have gained from my therapy. This also helps me to sleep better’.
- ‘……is a sensitive man, he appears to sense which part of my back needs healing/massage. As a result, I experience a sense of peace and relaxation. Since my return to work this has been invaluable’.
Feedback from Referrers
- About 50% of feedback questionnaires were returned by referrers anonymously.
- 100% had referred clients to the project. All of whom felt that patients and carers had benefited from the service.
- 54.8% felt that there was a positive change or reduction in patient’s medication, 9% felt there was no change (of which 6% felt that it was either difficult to assess as patient group changes so much with their symptoms, and that possibly an increase in their medication may not have been necessary’ while 25% did not answer the question.
Referrers felt that complementary therapies had supported signs and symptoms in the following way:
